Sorry I’ve been off-line for a while peeps. I guarantee you that it is not by my choosing. My Mom has been hogging the computer and my tablet PC for that annoying thing called ‘work’ again! And as she does not allow me to get online unsupervised that means when she’s traveling or busy with work I don’t get to keep up with my FB and blogger peeps. I tried to convince Dad to let me use his computer but he told me “Sorry bud, but your Mom makes the rules”. Boy, is he ‘whipped’ or what?!

Anyway, Labor Day weekend is coming up! You know what that means? That means three whole days of staying late partying and sleeping in late…IMG_00000147

Spending entire days with Mom and Dad and doing cool stuffs around the house, checking out new dining establishments, and just chillaxing by the pool…OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

That also means opening day of dove hunting season! That’s Dad’s most favorite type of hunting. Mom likes it OK but she prefers the big game stuffs. Either way for me, whether it’s shooting down the flying rats called dove or stalking and harvesting a large hooved critter like a deer, elk, or oryx; it means ‘Walter’ gets to eat some good game meat, coz’ Mom and Dad don’t hunt what they aren’t gonna eat themselves. And dove hearts are delish! So bring it on Dad!

I almost forgot to show you peeps my new lunchbox! Check out this new Spidey lunchbox Mom got for me…lunchbox spidey

Pretty cool, huh? On days I go to work with Mom or to Doggy Day Care at Miss Karen’s Animal House…IMG_00000156

Mom packs my lunch so I have some good yummy snax to tide me over til dinner time. Check out what’s been in my lunchbox this week:

Pssst….don’t tell Mom but I don’t normally eat the plain fruit or veggies, I let ‘Butthead’ eat all that stuff…he’ll eat anything…

Here’s the recipe for Meat-Muffins…
Lazy Labor Day Meat-Muffin BitesIMG_20130826_121026

1 lb grass fed ground beef;
½ C shredded carrots;
1 egg;
½ C diced mozzarella cheese (can also use shredded cheese, or cheddar, or cottage cheese);
½ C Tomato sauce (organic low sodium/no salt or sugar added is best);
½ C shredded zucchini;
Dash or two of garlic powder;
How To:
Preheat oven to 375o F. In a mixing bowl combine all ingredients thoroughly. Pack the mixture into greased muffin pan or silicone muffin cups. Bake for approx. 45 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving. These make great midday snax for those on a grain free diet or crumbled as a topping with your daily kibble. Refrigerate leftovers in an air tight container.
NOTE: ALWAYS consult with your pet’s veterinarian regarding ingredients, serving sizes, & special dietary requirements prior to changing your pet’s diet.

As you can see, I was not amused that Mom made me wait for them to cool before I got to do a QA/QC check…I’m not sure she realizes just how seriously I take my job as QC Supervisor of Walter’s Lunchbox…IMG_00000144_edit
