TOURISTS & TURKEYS IN TOMBSTONE – PART 3b

Our last afternoon in Tombstone was spent checking out the local dog friendly shops.  First there was the Desert Eagle Trading Post (411 E. Allen St.)…OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Miss Hillary, who we also met previously at the Dragoon Saloon, works there and she was happy to see us doggies.  They have some really beautiful silver Indian jewelry and other neat curios.  But keep your Happy Tails in check when visiting, there are some delicate items that could get broken.  After incapacitating an FBI agent with my Happy Tail once before, Mom makes me holster my Happy Tail unless we are in a wide open space.  Desert Eagle Trading Post gets a 4 PAW Walter PUPproval rating for Miss Hillary and doggy friendliness.  Go see Miss Hillary, she knows about giving good ear and butt scratchies to us pups.

Mom also had this ridiculous idea to get one of them old timey pictures taken at the Tombstone Photo (www.TombstonePhoto.net) …old timey fun

Although they did welcome us pups, the peeps working there seemed a little unsure about us.  They could have worked with us pups a little bit to capture my best side and maybe offered some western pup accessories for the photo (as if you couldn’t tell, I got a hold of Mom’s picture and added some accessories and props of my own).  Tombstone Photo gets a 3+ PAW Walter PUPproval rating for doggy friendliness and now I can check posing in an old time photo off my bucket list (hmmm…I don’t remember that being on my list to begin with).

Before ending our last day in Tombstone, we stopped at the Silver Strike Winery (www.silverstrikewinery.com) for a little refinement and wine tasting…OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Mom and Dad sampled several of the wines, while Butthead and I were offered generous amounts of biscuits and ear scratchies.  Although she thought that many of their wines were quite enjoyable, Mom selected a bottle of the ‘Mother Lode’ to take back home with us…OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Silver Strike Winery gets a 5 PAW Walter PUPproval rating for dog friendliness, great peeps, and BISCUITS!

That afternoon we headed back to Katie’s Cozy Cabins to relax, read, and dream about all the great peeps that we met and all the fun and exciting things we experienced in Tombstone…20131129_165220

I hope to visit again before I end up in one of these…OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I definitely recommend visiting Tombstone, Arizona with your peeps!  It’s been one of the most Dog Friendliest places in the Southwest that I’ve ever visited!  Overall the Town of Tombstone, Arizona gets a 5 PAW Walter PUPproval Rating for dog friendliness!
