Last Saturday Mom and Dad took us out again for lunch. This time we checked out the Luna Rossa Winery & Pizzeria (http://www.lunarossawinery.com/) on Avenida de Mesilla.
Although, it is starting to get cooler here in the LC, the fall days in the LC are still nice, sunny, and warm. We sat out on their Dog Friendly brick patio and Mom and Dad ordered a bottle of their Pinot Grigio (one of Mom’s favs, next to the Nini)…
Along with the Antipasto Misto, that included: Sliced prosciutto crudo di San Daniele, carciofi (artichokes), grilled red bell peppers, and fresh mozzarella.…
This place also had an Italian wood fired pizza oven and the parental units ordered the Pizza Luna Rossa that included: Salumino picante, prosciutto cotto, funghi, red bell peppers, capers, carciofi, cipolla, and olive nere, mozzarella, and tomato…
Of course Mom ordered a side order of chicken for us pups as well. These peeps were super great and chopped and served our chicken in separate to go containers so I wouldn’t have to muscle Butthead out of my way…
Luna Rossa is also the only place in town that I know of that serves homemade GELATO!
For desert, Mom and Dad got a gigantic scoop of the Salted Caramel and the Chocolate Gelato (they were out of Dad’s fav, Pistachio)…
Although, they were limited on any the doggy friendly flavor selections (ie. Sans chocolate, caramel, coffee, candies, nuts, etc) Mom got us pups a scoop of the Mango Peach Gelato to share…
Luna Rossa gets a 4 PAW Walter PUPproval rating from me for doggy friendly dining establishment! Mom and Dad give it a thumbs up for great food, service, and vino!
